The first components shipped to the Tianjin assembly line included the front and rear fuselage sections, wings, horizontal and vertical tails, and engine hangers of an A320 aircraft. These components were assembled on six A320 aircraft special fixtures and were carried by a dedicated tugboat to the container terminal near Hamburg Port, and then transferred to a commercial container ship to Tianjin. It takes about 52 days for this voyage.
The Airbus A320 series aircraft assembly line at the Tianjin Binhai Airport Industrial Park also includes two paint workshops for the assembly of the tested flight route buildings and a delivery center. By 2011, the assembly line will reach a level of 4 aircraft per month, and more than 600 employees will work on the assembly line.

The assembled parts for assembling the first batch of aircraft for the assembly line of the Airbus A320 series Tianjin were issued by Hamburg, Germany, and were transported by sea to Tianjin, China.
