School cafeteria equipped with pesticide residue detector, students eat more at ease

The issue of food safety has always been the focus of attention. Recently, in order to ensure the safety of students' food, 93 schools in Pingdu City invested 195,300 yuan and equipped them with a pesticide residue detector.

In Pingdu City, there are more than 49,000 students eating at school every day. An instrument allows students to eat safely and parents can rest assured. One student mentioned that “none of my parents had ever agreed to eat in the school cafeteria. Since I had this tester, they have rest assured that I can run back and forth!” Canteens can purchase tested vegetables and fruits from supermarkets that have testing equipment. Rural schools can't buy them, and food quality is not guaranteed.

Equipped with pesticide residue detectors for school canteens may be inconspicuous for many people; 93 schools spent a total of 195,300 yuan, which is not too much for the government's financial investment. However, this small instrument and little expense solved the food safety of 49,000 students and lifted the worry of parents of more than 100,000 or even more students.
