Shanxi police arrested 237 suspects in “Winter Action”

Since the launch of the “Winter Action”, public security agencies in Shanxi Province have stepped up efforts to crack down on rectification. As of February 20, the province has invested a total of 52,000 policemen and dispatched more than 192,000 people from groups to check schools, hospitals, and financial institutions. There were 14,000 key units, arresting 237 criminal suspects, investigating and dealing with 17 cases of yellow gambling, seizing 16 illegal firearms and 1366 kilograms of illegal explosives.

In the "Winter Operation", the Shanxi Provincial Public Security Department established a report system for reporting situations and regularly reported the progress of local operations, important results and advanced cases. At the same time, the public security organs at all levels in the province conducted in-depth investigation and handling of contradictions and disputes, strengthened the prevention and control of social patrols, the prevention and control of public security patrols around the campus, the security of financial outlets, and the deepening of the “silent storm” campaign to crack down on gambling and deepen the use of guns. The eight struggles and other aspects of the work carried out and achieved phased results.
