· Toyota recalled 61,000 cars in China due to airbag problems

Recently, Toyota Motor announced that due to the safety hazard of some vehicle airbags, according to the requirements of China's "Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Products Recall", the recall plan has been filed with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and it is decided to recall 61459 from May 8, 2014. The car involves two models, Reiz and Highlander.
It is understood that the recalled models include some of the Ruizhi vehicles produced by Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. from November 16, 2005 to August 10, 2010, totaling 47,636; Guangqi Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. May 27, 2009 Some of the Highlander cars produced during the period from August 31, 2010, totaled 13,752; and some of the Hanlan produced by Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. from March 30, 2007 to January 19, 2009. A total of 71 vehicles.
Some vehicles in the scope of this recall have friction with the end of the airbag in the spiral coil assembly. The continued use of the airbag will cause the airbag cable to wear or even break. After the cable breaks, the airbag warning light will light up. The driver's seat air bag is invalid, and there is a safety hazard.
Toyota Motor said that it will contact the owners of the recalled area through the special dealers to replace the improved spiral coil assembly for free in the recall range to eliminate safety hazards.
