According to the statistical data of Changchun Customs, Jilin Province shows a rapid increase in trade with Russia. From January to November 2005, the province’s import and export of Russia completed 150.27 million US dollars, an increase of 56.2% over the same period of last year.
According to Li Jinbin, deputy governor of Jilin Province, Jilin Province has obvious regional advantages in developing trade with Russia. Jilin Province is located in the central part of northeast China and borders Russia in the east.
